TRANSLATION OF PROVERBS IN THE WORKS OF ABDULLA QAHHOR

Abstract

This article comprehensively and deeply analyzes the translations of proverbs and sayings into Turkish and Russian, used in the stories of the famous Uzbek writer, master of artistic expression Abdullah Kahkhar, the successes achieved by translators and the shortcomings made in the process of creative work. Based on a comparative analysis, it is shown how suitable the translations of Uzbek proverbs into Turkish and Russian are, and theoretical and practical proposals are given for resolving some controversial issues that have arisen. The article also discusses the relationship between the original and translation languages, as well as the fact that, in addition to the convenience of translation, there are also difficulties, despite the fact that the Uzbek and Turkish languages ​​belong to the same language group, most proverbs and sayings have differences by origin. It is emphasized that the translator needs to be very careful, that when translating from related languages, a literal translation is often justified.
