The article talks about the specific approaches of the translator when translating euphemisms and dysphemisms, which complicate the translation of units of literary works, from Russian into Uzbek and from Uzbek into Russian. The purpose of the study is to justify the need to rely on certain scientific conclusions when translating these units, and to do this, to prove with the help of examples that euphemistic and dysphemic units are far from reality in the translation process. The author expressed his opinion using comparative, analytical, classification, descriptive methods and described the typological characteristics of the Russian and Uzbek languages based on the characteristics of these units. The topic of the article is explained with examples from two great works, “Past Days” and “Anna Karenina” and their translation. Also, based on the results obtained, a scientific conclusion was made.
