Abstract

Communicative teaching of foreign languages is not limited to mastering language skills, it is also important to include the process of working on authentic texts into it. However, the use of authentic texts and their presentation for getting familiar with the realities of the target language being studied encounters difficulties in learning. In recent years, authentic texts have become increasingly important in teaching foreign languages. The use of authentic texts in foreign language classes triggers an increasing interest of students in such texts. Opinions about the need for their use in teaching often do not coincide with what is said. Today, the goal of modern foreign language teaching is to formulate the accurate communication in foreign language. To develop this skill, it is necessary to organize work on texts in the educational process. There is a difference between authentic texts and texts written in language textbooks. Authentic texts help to master the language both in written and oral form. A person can communicate not only orally, but also in writing. Research needs to pay attention to the role of authentic texts in communicative language learning and how they affect language acquisition.
