PRINCIPLES OF USING ABBREVIATIONS IN PERSIAN AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

In the article, a comparative analysis of the used and proposed abbreviations in the Persian and Uzbek languages, i.e. abbreviations, and the success of using any of them in the language was carried out.
It is known that the creation of a term in the terminology of the world takes place in connection with two processes: 1) creation of a term and 2) re-creation of a term. Also, the use of words and terms used as combinations in the form of abbreviations creates linguistic convenience. Studying the principles of formation of these abbreviations allows a deep analysis of the possibilities of term and word formation. For this purpose, the article presents analyzes and conclusions on the issues of abbreviations made in Persian and Uzbek languages and which form of them is used in the language.
In order to preserve the purity of the language in Iran, three "Language Academies" were established depending on the period. The last of them is the "Academy of Persian Language and Literature", the third academy, which was founded in 1991 and has its own Guidelines. In the same period, Atamaqom started its activity in Uzbek language and completed its work in a short time.
The article presents the impact of the International Terminology Organization Standard - ISO 704, which was created at the World School of Terminology, the principles of forming abbreviations in it on the rules of term formation in Persian and Uzbek languages, as well as the analysis of the different and similar aspects of each of them. Abbreviations in the Persian and Uzbek languages, contextual doublets that occur within the framework of the use of abbreviations, and the issues of using any of them in the language are also analyzed. As a result of the compared theories, a number of suggestions for making abbreviations in Uzbek language are presented.
