It is emphasized that both lexical and grammatical means of the language are involved in this process. In particular, it is noted that when transferring the features of book-written and colloquial styles using simple and so-called complex verbs, both simple verbs and the constituent parts of a complex verb, as well as phraseological and idiomatic phrases, participate in this process.
