LINGUISTIC AND CULTURAL FEATURES OF EUPHEMISMS IN CHINESE AND UZBEK LANGUAGES
Keywords:
euphemism, taboo, linguoculturologyAbstract
In modern Chinese and Uzbek linguistics, attention is paid to the semantic, linguacultural study of language, in particular, lexicon. In both Chinese and Uzbek linguistics, scientific and practical work has been done on the origin, semantics, and language units of euphemisms, but the comparative study of euphemisms in Chinese and Uzbek has not been studied. Although the Chinese and Uzbek peoples, who are the jewels of Eastern culture, have their own mentality and worldview, their languages have euphemisms on a similar theme. As a result of the linguacultural study of such euphemisms, it is possible to identify specific, but at the same time, common, close aspects of the Chinese and Uzbek languages. Ultimately, it contributes to the development of cultural and spiritual ties between the Chinese and Uzbek peoples. In this regard, the semantic and linguacultural study of Chinese and Uzbek euphemisms is relevant.
