Tadqiqot predmeti — Min davri neo-konfutsiychilikning asoschisi Van Yangming falsafasining onto-epistemologik, prakseologik, antropo-axloqiy jihatlari. Bu kontekstda ontologiyaning gnoseologizatsiyasini, kognitiv jarayonning aksiologizatsiyasini tushunishda lingvistik belgilar alohida rol oʻynaydi. Insonning har qanday faoliyatida bilim va harakat, yaxshilik va yomonlik, muhabbat va nafratning dialektik aloqasi ochib beriladi. Yangminizm va Gʻarb falsafasida harakat tushunchasining qiyosiy tahlili oʻtkazildi. Tadqiqotning ahamiyati neokonfutsiychilikning ichki yoʻnalishi pozitsiyalarini mustahkamlashda Van Yangming falsafasining uslubiy rolini asoslash bilan bogʻliq.
Tadqiqot mavzusining dolzarbligi, birinchidan, zamonaviy dunyoning rivojlanish dinamikasi, integratsiya jarayonlari, ochiq dunyo tamoyillarini mustahkamlash, axborot-kommunikatsiya makonini kengaytirish bilan bogʻliq; ikkinchidan, Van Yangmin taʼlimotining asosiy toifasi – “ehtiyotkorlik” (liang zhi) mohiyatini belgilovchi «bilim va harakatning tasodifiy birligi» (zhi xing he yi) haqidagi taʼlimotga qiziqishning ortishi; uchinchidan, zamonaviy Xitoyning ishbilarmon doiralari bilan madaniyatlararo aloqalarning kuchayishi, uni samarali amalga oshirish milliy madaniyatning oʻziga xos xususiyatlari toʻgʻrisidagi keng koʻlamli gʻoyalarni hisobga olmasdan imkonsiz boʻlib, uning asosini konfutsiylik va neokonfutsiychilik asosiy tamoyillari va toifalari tashkil etadi.
