"DEVONU LUG'ATI-T-TURK": ON THE COMPARATIVE AND TEXTUAL STUDY OF THE INTRODUCTION PART IN PUBLICATIONS IN THE UZBEK LANGUAGE

Abstract

The work "Devoni Lug'ati-t-Turk" is an important source in Turkology, written in the 11th century with the aim of teaching the entire Islamic world about Turkish languages, literature, art, as well as culture, traditions, and rituals of Turkic peoples. it is recognized as the common heritage of peoples. In the last century, the work was translated into different languages ​​and published. To date, it has been published three times in Uzbek. In this article, a comparative-textual analysis of the preface in the Uzbek language editions of the work was carried out, and the identified differences were compared with the original source, that is, the manuscript, and the factors that caused the differences were clarified.
