The article covers the topic of a relatively little-studied era of the Kokand literary environment – 1930-40. The collection of materials about the figures of the Kokand literary environment of the 1940s, the restoration of the picture of this literary environment on the basis of reliable sources and archival data will serve for the review in this article. In the process of writing this article, the following methods were used: comparative typological, prosopography, bibliographic, descriptive and text analysis. The analysis of this era was created on the basis of personal memoirs, materials from personal archives, information from the press, periodicals and printed publications. Stacks of the newspaper “Yangi Farghona” (New Fergana), stored in the Kokand Literary Museum, also served as one of the main sources. In the 1940s, the press, especially the aforementioned newspaper, gave great impetus to the development of a new literary environment and social outlook in the region. The newspaper also played an important role in the development of artistic creativity and was a literary platform, a strong center that united creative figures. Based on sources, it was determined that such creative personalities as Sharif Riza, Charkhi, Javdat Abdullah, Aziz Kayumov and others were the main participants in the era we are considering. The data on the Kokand literary environment presented in the article can serve in the future to create a broader picture of the literary environment, which is an important part of Uzbek literature.
