KEY INDICATORS AND POTENTIAL OF TRADE AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION BETWEEN UZBEKISTAN AND CHINA

Abstract

The article discusses the development of trade and economic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China, the main directions of economic cooperation, as well as further prospects and opportunities for trade and economic relations.

In recent years, trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and China have been developing steadily. Bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and China covers all areas, and the basis of cooperation is mutually beneficial relations between the two countries. The governments of Uzbekistan and China attach great importance to further strengthening the strategic partnership, including the development of trade, economic, investment and financial cooperation on the principles of mutual benefit and equality. Today, cooperation between the two countries is developing dynamically in the fields of politics, economics, trade, industry, finance, agriculture, construction, tourism, science, education and culture.

During a telephone conversation with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping on April 29, 2021, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that in recent years, Uzbek-Chinese friendly relations and comprehensive strategic partnership have reached a high level. noted that multifaceted cooperation is developing dynamically. The heads of state noted the successful efforts of countries to increase trade to $10 billion in the coming years, as well as to ensure a balance between exports and imports. They also noted the need to strengthen cooperation between the leading enterprises of the two countries in various industries, to assist in the promotion of projects in high-tech sectors of the economy.
