Abstract

The establishment of the Organization of Turkic States marks a significant development in the geopolitical landscape of the Turkic world. This article aims to provide an overview of the historical background, founding principles, and potential prospects of the Organization of Turkic States. The Organization of Turkic States was officially established in 2009 with the signing of the Nakhchivan Agreement by Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey, and later joined by Uzbekistan to promote political, economic, and cultural cooperation among its member states. The organization seeks to strengthen ties among Turkic-speaking countries and promote their common interests on the regional and global stage. This article will examine the potential benefits and challenges facing the Organization of Turkic States, including its role in promoting economic integration, enhancing energy cooperation, and fostering cultural and educational exchanges. Furthermore, it will explore the Organization of Turkic States potential impact on regional stability and security, particularly in light of recent geopolitical shifts in the Eurasian region. The formation of the Organization of Turkic States also poses implications for existing regional structures and partnerships, such as the Turkic Council and the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States. With a focus on both the opportunities and obstacles that lie ahead, this analysis will provide insight into the evolving dynamics of the Organization of Turkic States and its potential to shape the future of Turkic states. Through a comprehensive review of historical context, current initiatives, and future prospects, this article aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the Organization of Turkic States and its implications for regional cooperation and development.
