ON THE PECULIARITIES OF FORMING PRONOUNS USING AFFIXATION IN MODERN CHINESE
Keywords:

In the modern Chinese language, word formation with affixes in terms of productivity takes the second place after the method of compounding. Most word-forming affixes in modern Chinese are formed from root morphemes. However, there are also many morphemes that have not yet evolved from a root morpheme to a purely affix morpheme. Such morphemes take place between the affix and the derivational root morpheme and are called semi-affixes. In linguistics, affixation and semi-affixation are considered as two independent methods of word formation. This article reveals the features of the formation of pronouns in modern Chinese using affixation.
